Miss America 2026 pageant shakeup leaves viewers wondering if people watched the contest

BOSSES of the Miss America 2026 beauty pageant came under fire – with viewers speculating if anyone even watched this year’s event.

The beauty pageant wasn’t aired on TV and it clashed with events such as the VMA Awards and the American football.

Cassie Donegan, who won the Miss New York contest, stormed to victory in Orlando as she was crowned Miss America 2026.

She staved off competition from pageant winners from 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Donegan won after two nights of competition, but viewers weren’t impressed.

Some blasted chiefs for hosting the show when it clashed with the Sunday night football.

“Did anyone watch?” they asked on X.

The scathing viewer labeled the contest a “s**t show” in their blistering tirade.

“I gotta talk to whoever moved Miss America to the first football Sunday,” another posted.

“Ain’t no way I got kicked off the main TV.”

The pageant wasn’t broadcast on television – a decision that left some viewers fuming.

Some wondered if the show was being streamed using an iPhone, as opposed to studio cameras.

Critics ripped the production and were baffled by the interview format.

“Miss America needs a new host and a revamp of production.”

Donegan, an actress, has landed a $50,000 scholarship and will hold her title for one year.

She thrilled judges with her performances in musical arts.

She is the 98th woman to win the contest and the eighth Miss New York pageant queen to do so.

Donegan has spoken out about her win.

“Miss America has always been a powerful springboard for ambitious women to turn their dreams into reality,” she said.

“I am honored to represent an organization that provides scholarships, resources, and a platform for women to lead—and I’m deeply grateful for the chance to bring that mission to life.”

Donegan succeeds last year’s winner Abbie Stockard.
