Missing Emmanuel Haro’s sister ‘practically killed’ by dad’s sick abuse years before 7-month-old’s unusual ‘abduction’

THE half sister of a missing seven-month-old reportedly suffered serious injuries at the hands of her parents years before the baby’s disappearance.

Investigators have been searching for Emmanuel Haro since he was reported missing on August 14, and now new details about his family’s past are coming to light.

At ten weeks old, Promise, Emmanuel’s half sister, suffered traumatic injuries.

The infant was admitted to the hospital with “an ‘acute’ fractured rib, ‘healing’ fractures of six ribs, a skull fracture, a brain hemorrhage, swelling of the neck and a ‘healing’ fractured leg bone,” according to the Daily Breeze.

Investigators suspected that the injuries Promise had were sufficient evidence of abuse.

“The combination of the above findings in a pre-mobile infant, in the absence of a plausible history of significant trauma to explain the injuries, is indicative of abuse (sic) head trauma, child physical abuse and nutritional neglect,” an officer wrote in an affidavit to obtain an arrest warrant reported by KTLA.

According to KTLA, Haro reportedly blamed the injuries on his wife. Both were arrested and pleaded guilty to willful child cruelty in 2023.

Haro initially told police that he dropped the baby in the center divider in the kitchen sink, but officers said his story didn’t fit the injuries, the LA Times reported.

“They have done everything they can for this little girl to keep her going,” journalist Abbey Escobar said after speaking with Promise’s adopted mom.

“But, I mean, she said that Promise is her miracle baby, and really she is. It’s amazing that she survived that at 10 weeks old.”

Escobar reported that Promise’s adoptive mom believed that “justice wasn’t served the first time.”

Promise’s adoptive mom reportedly said she was “broken to pieces” when she found out that Emmanuel was missing.

“She said that when she first heard the news story, it just broke her to pieces,” Escobar said.

“She immediately had a feeling, as I feel most people have.

“I mean, the story just doesn’t really make them very much sense.”

Jake Haro has reportedly been cooperating with law enforcement regarding Emmanuel’s disappearance, according to Vincent Hughes, Jake’s attorney in a separate case.

The disappearance of Emmanuel Haro

CALIFORNIA cops are probing the disappearance of missing baby Emmanuel Haro. The U.S. Sun breaks down the timeline surrounding his disappearance.

August 14: Emmanuel’s mom, Rebecca, reports him missing. She claimed she was attacked near a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa.

August 15: San Bernardino cops issue a statement, saying the search for Emmanuel is ongoing. They reveal that he has not been found.

August 16: Cops say they cannot rule out foul play.

August 17: Police visit the Haro family home.

August 18: Police say they have conducted extensive searches in the Yucaipa and Cabazon areas. They also reveal that a large amount of surveillance footage has been reviewed.

August 19: San Bernardino cops probe an alleged sighting of Emmanuel. Police have also seized a car belonging to Emmanuel’s dad, Jake.

Emmanuel’s alleged kidnapping first happened in San Bernardino County, California, when his mother, Rebecca Haro, went to change his diaper.

Rebecca said she was on her way to buy a football mouthguard for her older son when the attack occurred.

“I came over here and parked right on the edge,” Haro told NewsNation

“When I was driving over, I smelled the baby had went to the restroom, so I said, ‘Don’t worry, we are going to change you.’”

She claimed that as she laid the baby down, she heard a stranger’s voice and was then attacked.

“I was going to get the diaper and somebody said, ‘Hola,’ and I don’t remember anything since,” she said.

“I woke up here on the floor, and I didn’t see Emmanuel.”

However, police are still investigating Rebecca Haro after finding “inconsistencies” in her story.

Last week, after Emmanuel’s disappearance, police removed an unnamed 2-year-old child from the family’s home.
