The Orioles breezed to a 5-1 win over the Rockies to put their record at 47-58 for the season.

But it was the pre-game anthem that caused the biggest stir when four-time international whistling champion Chris Ullman whistled his way into fans’ hearts.

Ullman was given a standing ovation by the Orioles fans after a spectacular rendition of the national anthem.

The Orioles’ official Instagram account said that Ullman’s performance “really blew us away”.

While fans watching from home reacted in the comments section.

One fan wrote: “Sooo amazing. I can’t believe I missed him this year. Hope he comes back next year.”

While another added: “That’s art”.

A third commented: “That was incredible”.

And a fourth even labeled Ullman as the “GOAT”.

Ullman is no stranger to the big stage, having performed for the Orioles before and also had a hand in events involving the Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, Washington Nationals and Duke men’s basketball team.

While he even serenaded former president George W. Bush and vice president Dick Cheney in a private concert in the Oval Office.

The national anthem has been causing a stir across the world of sport in recent months.

Back in February Canadian basketball fans booed the Star Spangled Banner over President Donald Trump‘s world trade war.

While Broadway icon Kristin Chenoweth sparked uproar at the NBA Finals with her rendition of the national anthem last month.

Last year Tori Kelly was commended for her sensational version of the anthem during Jake Paul‘s blockbuster boxing match against Mike Tyson too.
