SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — A few isolated showers and t-showers have developed this morning in KELOLAND. Take a look at some of our LIVE Cam shots below, displaying those towering cumulus clouds.

On radar, you can see on the storms west of Platte. Others have developed just NW of Sioux Falls as of 7am.

The upfront planner for Sioux Falls shows our highs today in the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies.

The latest outlook for severe weather today targets much of central and western SD. We expect a broken line of storms to fire in western SD late this afternoon, with damaging winds the main threat.

Take a look at Futurecast in the video below. You can see some of the thunderstorms developing in western SD this afternoon, with a broken line of storms moving east. We do see more evidence to support scattered t-storms near Sioux Falls after 9pm this afternoon. A separate cluster of storms may move into northeastern SD late tonight from North Dakota. Temperatures will be hottest today, with upper 90s central and west. We expect upper 80s to near 90 degree weather tomorrow as additional showers and thunderstorms develop in western SD. The upper level system will move in on Friday, adding more rain chances to eastern KELOLAND as we start the weekend. We do expect drier and cooler weather on Saturday, with warmer weather rebounding back on Sunday.
