MY LIFE with the Walter Boys star Nikki Rodriguez’s age has caused a stir among fans after reports claimed she is just 22.
The U.S. Sun can confirm the Los Angeles-based actress is actually 33, despite her IMDB, Wikipedia and many news outlets listing her as 11 years younger.

Fans began to speculate her reported age may not be accurate after the star’s teen drama series on Netflix became a hit, with many claiming to have seen old photographs of her as an adult in the mid-2000s.
Several reputable news outlets list her as being 22, and she does not appear to have corrected them.
Nikki has an active Instagram page, but only includes posts from the past few years.
The U.S. Sun found public records listing her full name as Nicole Marie Rodriguez, and her date of birth as July 1992, with a prior address in Minnesota.
Online articles show she relocated from Minnesota to California to pursue her Hollywood acting career as a teenager.
Video viewed by The U.S. Sun also shows her graduating with honors from high school in 2010, as she is seen walking onto the stage to shake hands with her teachers.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Nikki’s team for comment, but did not hear back.
‘TEEN STAR’
TikTokers have also been speculating about her age, after they read online she is just 22.
Nikki is famous for her roles in teen dramas, and also starred in On My Block in 2018.
She has found fame playing 15-year-old Jackie Howard in My Life with the Walter Boys, which has been compared to the hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Nikki appears in the show alongside co-stars Ashby Gentry and Corey Fogelmanis, who are both 26 in real life, and Noah LaLonde, who is reportedly 27.
The series, based on the 2014 novel by Ali Novak, centers on Jackie, a New York City teenager who is orphaned after her family dies in a tragic accident.
She is forced to move to Colorado to live with her mother’s best friend and her big family on a rural ranch.
The plot focuses on Jackie navigating her new life while being caught in a love triangle with two of the Walter brothers.
In December 2023, Vanity Fair published “Meet Nikki Rodriguez, Netflix’s Next Big YA Star.”
The article stated, “The petite 20-something performer (she’s loath to reveal her exact age) is an only child who was raised mostly by her British German mother in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved to LA straight out of school to study acting after a trial run, accompanied by her Mexican dad, when she was 15.”
HOLLYWOOD ADVICE
The story also discussed the “increased scrutiny” she would face as she becomes more famous and how she sought advice from Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Jason Priestley, who directed the final two episodes of the Walter Boys show.
“[He] said just enjoy it as much as you can and stay in the moment,” Nikki told the outlet.
Despite the speculation over her age, fans have praised how young she looks, which is often preferred by casting directors in Hollywood.
“Nikki looks so young that she could easily play a teenager and get these young roles,” a Reddit fan recently commented.
The questions about her age have been compared to Euphoria star Alexa Demi, who plays a teenager in the HBO show despite being 35 years old in real life.
