BASKETBALL prospect Danny Wolf’s brother went viral for a facial expression during the NBA Draft.
The ESPN broadcast panned to Jake Wolf, who showed plenty of emotion while watching his brother get selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Michigan product Danny Wolf was expected to be picked in the first round, but not as a lottery pick.
Plenty of mock drafts predicted the Michigan product to land somewhere in the mid-to-late first round.
However, Wolf wasn’t picked in the first 26 selections with the second round approaching.
But the Nets would draft Wolf, who appeared to be emotional with his family by his side.
But his brother, Jake, would take the lead as the most emotional, as he was overcome by the moment.
ESPN’s cameras showed Jake in tears, and he proceeded to say “f***” before putting his head into his hands and rubbing his eyes.
NBA fans spotted the reaction and immediately said that Jake will be a “meme” for years to come.
“Generational meme,” one wrote.
“Danny Wolf’s brother just gave NBA Twitter a generational meme,” another commented.
“New crying meme activated,” a third added.
Jake’s reaction was shown when ESPN’s Monica McNutt was interviewing the 21-year-old Danny and his parents after he was selected.
“I think we heard your brother is at the table, still trying to get himself together,” McNutt said to Danny as the camera then displayed the teary-eyed Jake.
“Just so much emotion. It’s healthy, I’m glad to see you guys letting it out.”
“For sure,” Danny replied. “I have the two greatest brothers in the world, and I have an unbelievable sister who I love.
“They all helped me get to where I’m at today.”

Jake played basketball at Washington University from 2021 to 2023.
Danny played at Yale before transferring to Michigan for his junior year.
He’ll be on a Nets squad that recorded a low 26- 56 record this past season.
Brooklyn had made four other picks in the first round: BYU’s Egor Demin, Frenchman Nolan Traoré, UNC’s Drake Powell, and Israeli’s Ben Saraf.
