Her beloved Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Indiana Pacers to win the NBA Finals in what was the first Game 7 for nine years.

But Chenoweth’s performance of the national anthem did not go down well however, with many voicing criticism.

One fan said: “This is the worst National Anthem I’ve ever heard.”

Another added: “That was an INSANE “free” by the National Anthem singer.

“Sounded like a turkey.”

A third wrote: “Never again, please.”

And another commented: “The Kristen Chenoweth rendition of the National Anthem was a difficult listen.”

Chenoworth is an avid OKC fan, so much so she named her pet dog Thunder.

She once dressed him up in Thunder colours so would have been delighted to see her team win the NBA Championship.

The Tony award winner said of her support for the Thunder: “I never miss a game unless I’m on stage.

“I was a cheerleader in high school in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and I loved football, but my favorite was basketball.

“I like how much of a team player you’ve got to be and this is my team.”

Chaos erupted after the game and one person was shot in manic scenes.

Shots were heard near the Paycom Center, an arena located in the downtown area of the city.

Rob Robertson, a police chief, described the scene as “hectic.”

Police believe that a fight broke out before the shooting, as per the Fox affiliate KOKH-TV.

Cops believe the victim, who hasn’t been identified, is expected to recover.

Officers are still searching for the perpetrator, who fled the scene.
