In the docuseries, Shaq and Iverson sign stars like Angel Reese to the brand to help Reebok compete with the likes of Nike and New Balance.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Iverson got emotional when speaking about his friendship with Shaq.
“I love him so much. I don’t want to be up here crying and s***, you know what I mean?” he said through tears.
“I just love him.”
Iverson also described Shaq as a “big brother, a mentor and just everything you’re supposed to be as a man.”
“I love his family. I love how he raised his kids.
“I learned from him, you know what I mean? He’s just a beautiful guy… I can’t talk about him.”
Iverson and Shaq were named vice president and president of Reebok’s basketball division late in 2023.
For Iverson, helping Reebok’s comeback is his way of helping the brand that gave him a signature shoe in 1996.
“I know what Reebok did for me,” he said.
“I know what Reebok did for my family. I know what Reebok did for the culture.
“I know how Reebok blessed me and gave me a chance. And for me to give back is only right.”
Iverson’s first shoe was called the “Question,” a play off his nickname “The Answer.”
A year later Reebok released another shoe with the same name as Iverson’s nickname.
