MICHELE TAFOYA has responded after a letter she received on an airplane caused outrage on social media.
The former NBC star was trolled earlier this week for reposting an old tweet that contained a note she was given back in 2023.

Tafoya, 60, was given the complimentary letter by a flight attendant keen to praise her for her work.
A segment of it read: “I want to thank you for the work you do.
“I always enjoyed your work with the NFL, but listening to your podcast is wonderful too.
“Your voice of reason brings me a little hope in what seems a dark world again.”
However, she was called out by users on X after reposting the letter.
Many believed that Tafoya was trying to pass off the letter as a new post rather than it being reshared.
This was due to the post not being tagged with a message stating it was from 2023.
Even sports reporter Sarah Spain hit out at the post.
She wrote: “Michele, how many times is this exact same flight attendant gonna hand you this exact same note.”
Former ESPN star Mike Wise added: “I love it when absolute frauds like Michele Tafoya get found out.”
Tafoya has now responded to the outrage on social media.
She insisted that it was posted in good faith and that she had come across the note while cleaning.
She posted: “I ran across the photo of the note while cleaning out my photos.
“It still means a lot to me. And I’m still grateful to the person who wrote it.
“But you’re entitled to perceive it any way you like.
“Have a great day.”
Tafoya left NBC Sports back in February 2022 as she switched to a career in politics.
She joined the campaign for republican Kendall Qualls’ candidacy for the co-chair position in the Minnesota gubernatorial race.
However, it was short-lived as he withdrew from the race.
She told the Athletic at the time: “I got to a point in my life where I wanted to try other things, and there are some things that are really important to me
“This is not to say that sports isn’t an important field, that my job isn’t an important job.
“But in my position, I was not as free to be as vocal about world events that I’m concerned about.
“It’s not because I was told to shut up. I want to be very clear about that.
“But look, if you’re on a show like ‘Sunday Night Football,’ which is the No.1 show in prime time for 11 straight years, unprecedented, the last thing they want to do is invite controversy.”
