NETFLIX announced the broadcasting addition of a $269 million NFL legend and Super Bowl winner for its Christmas Day football coverage.
The streaming giant will broadcast two NFL games on the Christmas holiday.

Netflix will be bringing an NFL icon and an ex-broadcaster back into the broadcasting landscape.
Drew Brees will be a game analyst for one of Netflix’s Christmas Day games, per The Athletic.
The 46-year-old will call either the Dallas Cowboys-Washington Commanders game or the Detroit Lions-Minnesota Vikings matchup on Christmas Day.
Brees has experience working with Netflix, as he worked on the international broadcast for the streamer’s Christmas Day debut broadcast last season.
The New Orleans Saints legend also worked as a guest analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown in 2024.
Brees first got his feet wet in the broadcasting industry in 2021 when he joined NBC following his retirement from football.
But the future first-ballot Hall of Famer lasted just one season in the booth after being hit with fan criticism for his performance.
Brees also called Notre Dame games last season.
CBS’ Nate Burleson will also serve as a Netflix game analyst for the second consecutive year, The Athletic added in their report.
Last year, ESPN’s Mina Kimes, CBS’s Ian Eagle and JJ Watt, and Fox’s Greg Olsen were part of the streamer’s broadcast.
Rival networks have reportedly been less than willing to loan their talent to Netflix.
But CBS has produced the game for Netflix and has been accepting to utilizing their personalities.
CBS’ Eagles, Watt, and Burleson all called the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens Christmas Day game.
Netflix has been considered to be a heavy player in the sports world.
They signed a three-year deal with the NFL worth reportedly $150 million to broadcast Christmas Day doubleheaders in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
The streamer also signed a 10-year, $5 billion deal with WWE to stream Monday Night Raw exclusively starting in January 2025.
