So, if you love having a bit of ketchup, mayo, mustard or BBQ sauce with your meals, you may want to listen up.

Savvy foodie, only known as Liz, took to Facebook to reveal how you can upcycle your old ketchup bottle for your next breakfast or brunch.

Rather than chucking the plastic bottle in the bin, Liz revealed that you can re-use it for storing your pancake mix, whether that’s pre-made or you’ve whipped up your own from scratch.

The eco-friendly hack is pretty straightforward and foolproof – all you need to do is give the condiment bottle a thorough wash and pour in the batter.

In the video, Liz used a readymade pancake mix, which you can either mix directly in the bottle and give it a good shake or do so in a bowl before transferring it.

Once done, all that was left to do was to cook the delicious pancakes.

Having the batter in the bottle made the process faff-free and there was no mess.

The best part? This wallet-friendly method also ensured the pancakes came out perfectly round and even.

When the breakfast is finally ready, you can then go wild with the toppings of your choice, such as juicy strawberries, banana, jam or lemon or sugar – whatever your heart desires.

Sharing the epic breakfast hack online, the savvy foodie said in the tutorial: ”I upcycle used ketchup bottles to make pancakes.”

The trick, which is sure to become a game-changer next time you’re cooking pancakes, has already taken the internet by storm.

Liz’s video, posted under the username Liz & Jeff, has amassed over 21k likes and more than 800 comments.

One fan said: ”Good way to control the size and number of pancakes. And leave it in the fridge for late-sleepers. Or for “too early!” risers.”
