Defensive end Will McDonald IV, 26, scored a touchdown during the fourth quarter, sparking the dance.
McDonald blocked a field goal attempt before running 50 yards to score.
It was cause for celebration as this touchdown put the Jets one point ahead with less than two minutes remaining.
However, the Bucs managed to claim victory at the death with 29-year-old kicker Chase McLaughlin slotting a last-gasp field goal.
Fans have vented their frustrations on social media towards Glenn and his premature celebrations.
“Crazy the second we scored this I looked at the clock and thought ‘welp we lost’,” one fan posted.
“Dancing to another loss,” another wrote as Glenn’s record as head coach fails to excite.
Glenn arrived in New York ahead of the 2025 season to take over as head coach.
He played for the Jets between 1994 and 2001 before turning to coaching following his retirement.
The former defensive back initially took over as a personnel scout for the Jets in 2012 before becoming the Cleveland Browns‘ assistant defensive backs coach.
After four years as the Detroit Lions‘ defensive coordinator, Glenn made his return to New York for the new season.
A tumultuous 2024 campaign saw Jets fans hoping for improved consistency this season.
Robert Saleh, 46, was fired five games into last season after just two wins.
