ROGER Goodell announced a final decision regarding NFL RedZone’s future while also sharing hints at major changes that would affect other sports’ coverage.
The NFL commissioner opened up about the league’s multi-billion-dollar partnership with ESPN.

On Wednesday, Goodell appeared on SportsCenter and spoke about ESPN’s acquisition of 10 percent of the NFL.
In the deal, ESPN will receive the league’s top media properties, which include NFL Network, NFL Redzone, seven more regular-season games, and more.
But fans have shared their worries over ESPN potentially changing the acclaimed NFL RedZone, which is a whip-around show of the league’s action each Sunday hosted by Scott Hanson.
Goodell reassured fans that the NFL RedZone product won’t change.
“Red Zone will stay the same. It will continue to be produced in this building (in Los Angeles). I don’t think fans will see any different,” he said at NFL Network’s broadcast studio in LA.
“ESPN purchased the Red Zone name, and they will be able to utilize that for other sports.”
Goodell then hinted that a similar version of RedZone could be duplicated in other sports, including college football.
“College football and other things and I think that could be an exciting thing for our fans to see a Red Zone in college football or other sports,” he said.
“That’s something ESPN now owns and have the ability to do that, but as far as NFL Red Zone, there won’t be any changes for our fans.”
NFL RedZone features Hanson, where he narrates seven hours of live football every Sunday during the regular season.
The program shows live plays from every NFL game as soon as they happen and is a one-stop highlights shop for fans.
A college football version of RedZone would be a thrilling idea for fans.
There are so many games on Saturday afternoon for football fans compared to Sunday afternoon.
Fans expressed their excitement over the possibility on social media.

“This would be amazing,” a third said.
“Great concept,” a fourth added.
