NFL fans believe the 2025 campaign has been leaked thanks to a new Madden trailer, and it’s not good news for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ahead of the mid-August release of Madden 26, EA Sports revealed updates on numerous changes to expect in the new football video game.
Among the updates are new changes to Franchise Mode and game presentation.
Madden 26 released a 30-second clip unveiling the changes, but fans noticed a sequence that involved the Super Bowl-defending Eagles.
A sequence showed the Eagles with a 5-8 record as they held a 10-6 lead over the Las Vegas Raiders at halftime in a Week 14 game.
NFL fans believe the upcoming season has been “leaked” and that the Eagles are set for a disappointing season after Madden’s latest trailer.
“Seems the Eagles won’t be any good this year,” one wrote.
“5-8 Eagles. Seems we have the script. Jalen Hurts is a FRAUD,” another commented.
“Philly gonna stink according to yall? Wow the script got leaked,” a third said.
It would be stunning for the Eagles to be 5-8 after enjoying a 14-3 campaign in 2024.
Despite losing numerous contributors, the 2025 Eagles, along with four other teams, are projected to finish with the most wins in the league.
Nonetheless, Madden says the new changes to franchise mode are “the most meaningful update in over a decade.”
One of the biggest changes will be a new game presentation, as Thursday night, Sunday night, and Monday night games will have custom features that are different from the standard Sunday afternoon broadcast.
NFL RedZone’s Scott Hanson will also host halftime shows and weekly recaps.
While Madden’s latest trailer has led fans to think that the Eagles will have an underwhelming season, a certain star player has received more skepticism due to the video game.
NFL fans fear that the Madden curse will strike star running back Saquon Barkley, who is on the cover of this year’s game.

Fans worry for the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year due to the trend of players getting injured or their careers going down the toilet after being placed on the cover of the game.
The most recent victim of the Madden curse was San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey last season.
The All-Pro running back was put on the cover of Madden 25 after winning the Offensive Player of the Year award.
However, his 2024 campaign was riddled with injuries, and he played in just four games.
Fortunately, the Madden curse isn’t frequent, but Saquon has to prove that fact in the upcoming season.
Madden 26 will be released on August 14 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
