The wide receiver has decided to hang up his cleats following a $136.6 million career.

Cooper was selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Raiders.

He stayed with the team until 2018 for a change in his Pro Bowl career.

The wideout only signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Raiders last month.

However, nine days after signing the deal, he has changed his mind.

He has now stepped away from football aged 31.

Cooper was a member of the team’s practice squad.

However, he added much-needed experience to a young roster.

“Trust me. I still got some juice left,” he said in a press conference on August 26.

Pete Carroll is now understood to be looking at other options in the area.

The Raiders open their NFL season on Sunday at the New England Patriots.

Cooper’s career with the team started more than seven years ago.

He was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 2018 in a huge shock.

They got a first-round pick for his services.

Cooper was then traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2022.

They got a fifth-round pick for him at the time.

The former Alabama star was at the Buffalo Bills last season.

He struggled to help the team reach a Super Bowl, however.

Cooper reached at least 1,000 receiving yards in six seasons of his NFL career.

He also made the Pro Bowl five times.
