Nostalgic candies from the 90s spotted on Walmart shelves after getting discontinued over 20 years ago

POPULAR candies from the 90s are making a comeback at Walmart with shoppers spotting nostalgic sweets that disappeared over 20 years ago.

Fans have been celebrating the return of these childhood favorites and saying they want to stock up at home.

A Walmart shopper uploaded a photo to Reddit showing four candies that they were excited to snap up.

They wrote: “Walmart has retro candy now.

“They are not under the same brands but taste very similar.

“The company that makes them is Iconic Candy.”

The first sweet they found was a tin of “Retro Sours” in a tangerine flavor, which is a dupe for the popular Altoid tangerine candies.

The powder-dusted, tangy little discs were popular for tossing in backpacks thanks to the compact tins, but were discontinued around 2010.

One shopper wrote on the forum: “They taste exactly like the old Altoids tangerine.”

Another added: “Finally, I’ve been looking for an alternative to the Altoid tangerine candies. “I’ll be grabbing a few packs when I go to Walmart next trip.”

The second item they spotted were Creme Savers, which you may recall were a hard candy popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

They came individually wrapped in shiny foil wrappers and were discontinued in the early 2010s.

Many shoppers were delighted to learn they are back, with one saying: “Creme Savers are my childhood.”

Another added: “Sweet Christmas the Crème Savers are like the only hard candy I like.”

Next up was Bubble Jug, which sweet lovers may remember was a quirky bubble gum that was sold in a little plastic jug that resembled a detergent bottle.

Instead of sticks or balls, it was filled with loose, powdery gum pieces.

One candy lover wrote on Reddit: “The Bubble Jug omggg. That was an all time favorite of mine when I was little!”

Another gushed: “The bubble jug! I need it!”

Finally, the shopper said they had spotted Ouch! Bubble Gum, which was another 90s classic that kids went crazy for.

The novelty bubble gum was packaged to look like a bandage tin, and inside were flat sticks of gum wrapped in paper that looked just like colorful Band-Aids.

One fan were clearly delighted, writing: “OUCH BUBBLE GUM????? i thought i would never see that beautiful tin again!!!!”

People thanked the Walmart shopper for sharing the good news that the nostalgic throwbacks were on shelves, with one saying: “SWEEEEET (no pun originally intended).”
