Chiefs have described the decision as “difficult”, after the chain missed rent payments for June and July.

Claire’s has become the most recent chain to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections.
The company initiated the proceedings in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Claire’s has said this will allow it to maximize the value of its business.
