NYC to test Waymo self-driving cars on crowded Manhattan and Brooklyn streets

Mayor Eric Adams and transportation officials on Friday announced the city’s first-ever pilot program for autonomous vehicles, which allows eight of Waymo’s self-driving cars to hit the road, effective immediately, until late September.
