OFFICIALS are urgently recalling more than 133, 000 window blinds sold on Amazon over fears they could strangle children.

The zebra-style blinds were found to have long operating cords that pose serious entanglement hazards.

They were available on Amazon from June 2023 through June 2025, with prices between $40 and $124[/caption]

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the blinds violate federal window covering safety rules and labeling requirements.

No injuries or deaths have been reported so far, but authorities stressed the risk to children is significant.

The recalled products were sold by Persilux in five colors and a range of sizes, from 22 to 73 inches wide and 64 to 72 inches high.

They were available on Amazon from June 2023 through June 2025, with prices between $40 and $124.

Each item is identifiable by the code ‘X003FFPT63’ printed on the barcode label.

Persilux is urging owners to stop using the blinds immediately.

The company is providing a free repair kit, which includes a replacement cord wand and installation instructions.

Shoppers are asked to remove the operating cord entirely and send a photo of the blinds without the cord to Persilux via email.

The recall follows a series of Amazon product withdrawals in recent weeks affecting roughly 500,000 items.

Other items recently pulled from sale include baby loungers, misting fans, and portable power banks.

The zebra blind recall came the same day Autoez recalled about 550 bamboo window shades.

Like Persilux’s products, the Autoez shades feature long cords that could strangle or entangle children.

They also violated federal rules and labeling requirements, making them unsafe for home use.

The bamboo shades were sold in brown, with widths of 24 to 72 inches and heights of 64 to 72 inches.

These products were available on Walmart’s website from September 2023 through May 2025, priced between $21 and $50.

Autoez told customers to stop using the shades and request a full refund from the company.

To complete the process, consumers must remove the shades, cut the cord, mark them as “Recalled,” and dispose of them.

Meanwhile, last month in September, half a million Amazon products, including kids’ accessories, were recalled over risks of suffocation and death to babies.

Manufacturers pulled a variety of items, from baby loungers to power banks, after serious safety concerns were identified.

The CPSC confirmed that five different items sold through Amazon and other online retailers were withdrawn from circulation.

Among the recalled products were LXDHSTRA baby loungers and crib bumpers sold on Amazon between May and August 2025.

The loungers were pulled on September 18 because they posed risks of suffocation, falling, and entrapment to infants.

Investigators found the sleeping pads were too thick, the sides too low, and the foot of the loungers wider than safety regulations allow.

The padded crib bumpers also created suffocation hazards, potentially obstructing breathing and violating the Federal Sleep for Babies Act.

About 360 units were sold, and while no injuries have been reported, consumers are urged to stop using them immediately.
