AN OKLAHOMA State football star has been arrested just days after the college football season started.
Linebacker Wendell Gregory was arrested on Saturday after allegedly stealing merchandise from a Walmart.

Gregory was charged with “larceny of merchandise from a retailer.”
Public records show he is charged with four counts of larceny and is accused of taking $211 in merchandise from a Walmart in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
He was released on bond on Sunday.
Gregory is a redshirt freshman at Oklahoma State who transferred from South Carolina.
Oklahoma State has not commented on his arrest.
However, head coach Mike Gundy has revealed that Gregory will travel with the team to their Week 2 game.
“Well, we will proceed as normal, and then if something changes, I’ll have Sean let you guys know,” he said.
Oklahoma State is heading into a massive game on Saturday, and will hope to have Gregory on the squad.
The team faces off against No. 7 Oregon, likely their toughest opponent of the year.
Gregory was arguably the best player on the field on OSU’s opening matchup against UT Martin.
He compiled three sacks, leading the team in the 27-7 victory.
It is entirely possible that Gregory could suit up for the game on Saturday based on an earlier precedent.
Just last season, OSU handled a legal matter internally rather than suspending a player.
Running back Ollie Gordon was not suspended by OSU after a DUI in the 2024 offseason.

Based on that, Gregory could appear in the Oregon game.
However, if OSU decides to suspend him, he would likely miss more than just the Oregon game.
The team would be forced to improvise with their linebackers until he returns.
