A PASSENGER that didn’t have her proper ID for a flight has warned other fliers to “get ready to strip’ at TSA.
After lengthy lines she was left feeling anxious amidst fears of missing her flight.

Posting a video on TikTok movibes1111 said: “Y’all I am at the airport just now and trying to be discreet but what did I just experience?
“This is not my first flight, or coming to the airport going somewhere.
“But I basically had to strip at the gate, not the gate – checkpoint.
“So apparently as of May 5th 2025 you have to have a real ID, right, with the star on it.
“I did not and I didn’t bring my passport because I didn’t know nothing about this.
“Cause I haven’t been paying attention to Trump. I guess maybe I should pay a little attention to him.
“Because basically we are under new management.
This is what happened.
After explaining that the line was very long for the checkpoint, she continued: “They had these kiosks to the side where people tried to pull you to the side.
She added that they wanted to see if she wanted to jump the queue but because she didn’t have real ID she was unable to.
She then had to go back to the original line that she came from.
She explained: “I had to go all the way back to the end again.
“I was kind of anxious cos I don’t want to miss my flight, cos we are boarding now.
“But they haven’t called my letter yet.”
She then joked about her shoe being harassed but then expressed how the whole thing caused more oppression and depression.
Applying for a real ID
The process varies by state, but residents will need a few documents to apply for a REAL ID before the deadline.
No matter the state, the application process can be started online by scanning and uploading the necessary documents, basic information, and Social Security numbers. Once submitted and reviewed, an in-person visit to the DMV or your state’s department agency is necessary for an attendant to verify the documents.
From there, a thumbprint will be recorded in the system, and a photo will be issued for the ID before it’s mailed.
The documents needed are those that show:
- Full legal name (previous driver’s license, passport, etc)
- Date of birth (like a birth certificate, or an official copy of one)
- Social Security number (Social Security card)
- Two proofs of residence (like a utility bill or voter registration card)
- Lawful status

She concluded by asking what people thought about it all as she went on to get her flight.
The TSA rules
Travellers who don’t have a Real ID will be pulled out of airport security lines to undergo extra screening, TSA has confirmed.
Anyone who doesn’t have a Real ID before the May 7 deadline must arrive at the airport early or they risk missing their flights.
The new Real IDs, which include a star in the top-right corner, are mandatory to board a plane starting May 7.
But TSA says those without a Real ID will not be turned away entirely, they just face being pulled aside for additional screening.
This new requirement will impact all domestic air travel, marking a significant shift in airport security procedures.
“If you don’t have the Real ID, you’re going to be pulled out of line for extra checks.
“People with Real IDs will get through faster,” TSA spokesperson Dan Velez said.
Velez stressed that the change won’t affect travelers with the proper ID.
Meanwhile, in New Hampshire, travelers are facing another issue.
TSA systems are struggling to read the state’s newly redesigned Real IDs.
The problem, officials say, lies not with the IDs themselves but with TSA’ outdated scanning technology.
