WRESTLING wildman Pat McAfee is making a thunderous return to WWE.
The former NFL punter turned microphone maestro is set to light up Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis on September 20, just as WWE’s blockbuster new deal with ESPN kicks in.

McAfee has admitted recently that he’s been exhausted but a return is on the cards[/caption]

The news was dropped by none other than WWE kingpin Triple H live on SportsCenter, confirming McAfee will be in the thick of the action.
The Hall of Famer said: “Wrestlepalooza, in Indy, the home of Pat McAfee. He’s like family to us. He’ll be there.
“He’s going to blow the roof off the place.”
McAfee has been MIA from WWE screens since a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank on June 7 and fans have been itching for a comeback ever since.
The high-energy host of The Pat McAfee Show took an early leave from Raw commentary bowing out before football season began.
The reason was out down to exhaustion.
McAfee admitted himself on-air recently: “I was getting pretty exhausted.
“Shoutout to WWE for looking out for me. Very thankful.”
Some fans raised eyebrows when John Cena appeared to throw shade at McAfee in a promo but any heat between the two now seems dead and buried.
McAfee didn’t just brush it off, he went full cheerleader when WWE and ESPN announced their $1.6 billion rights mega-deal.
And, in classic Pat fashion, he also took a cheeky swipe at ESPN execs, proving he’s not mellowing out anytime soon.
WWE’s move to ESPN is set to change the game and McAfee looks ready to ride the wave even if he’s not back full-time.
