Patrick Mahomes’ mom Randi gets emotional after spotting late mother in new Kansas City Chiefs doc – ‘miss her’

PATRICK MAHOMES’ mother was overcome with emotion after spotting her late mom in a new documentary on the Kansas City Chiefs.

ESPN+ recently commissioned a six-episode fly-on-the-wall docuseries about the beaten Super Bowl 59 finalists.

Mahomes’ late grandmother, Debbie Bates, made two cameo appearances in the doc[/caption]

Mahomes’ mother, Randi Martin, was overcome with emotion after seeing her mom’s surprise appearances[/caption]

Mahomes’ late grandmother, Debbie Bates, made two appearances in a teaser trailer for ‘The Kingdom’.

Mahomes hugged his grandmother in one of the clips, with Bates’ other appearance coming in the form of a snippet of a home video.

And his’ mother, Randi Martin, was moved by her late mom’s appearance in the doc.

So much so that she took to Facebook to pay tribute to her.

She wrote: “My momma made a cameo on Kingdom tonight!!!

“Miss her so much!!! I know she’s smiling (well…YELLING LOUD) from Heaven!!”

Bates died in April 2023, aged 72, after a series of health issues.

Mahomes’ mother sadly lost her father, Randy, just days after the Chiefs lost Super Bowl 59 to the Philadelphia Eagles in February.

She wrote on social media after his passing: “‘Hard to find the words of holding my father’s hand as he goes to Heaven.

“I know he’s in a better place. I love you, Daddy. Well done, good and faithful servant.”


Mahmomes and his Chiefs team-mates will kick off their 2025 NFL season on September 5, travelling to the SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
