THE Philadelphia Eagles have announced that they are cutting a former first-round pick from their roster.
This shocking move comes on the back of a win in the Eagles’ opening round fixture against the Dallas Cowboys last Thursday.

On Saturday evening, they confirmed that offensive lineman Kenyon Green had been waived.
Philadelphia will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 without the guard as they look to retain the Lombardi Trophy.
The Eagles can thank Jalen Hurts for their narrow Week 1 win over the Cowboys.
The QB rushed for two touchdowns in their narrow 24-20 victory.
Saquon Barkley scored their other touchdown.
However, he, alongside their other major offensive weapon, AJ Brown, was neutralised for large periods of the game.
Brown only registered one reception, while Barkley averaged 3.3 yards per rush.
Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott threw for 188 yards, linking well with CeeDee Lamb.
But it was Javonte Williams who scored both touchdowns for Dallas.
Green did not make an appearance for the Eagles.
The 24-year-old attended Texas A&M for college and was named a starter in his freshman year.
He was a two-time All-American and declared for the 2022 NFL Draft a year early.
The Houston Texans selected him in the first round as the 15th overall pick.
He made 15 appearances in his rookie season.
However, he failed to make a positive impression, finding himself as one of the worst-performing guards.

Green achieved a PFF grade of 37.7, which positioned him at the 77th spot out of 77 graded guards.
During the 2025 offseason, he was traded to the Eagles ahead of training camp and the preseason.
But on cutdown day, he was waived.
The Eagles then re-signed him to the practice squad, eventually elevating him back to the active roster.
Again, however, they decided they didn’t want him, cutting him for a second time in as many months.
