Dom DiSandro, widely known as “Big Dom” is reported to have infringed as the Eagles claimed a 19-17 pre-season win.

It has been claimed by the NFL Network that Big Dom was caught sending text messages from the bench area.

He has been reportedly handed a $75,000 fine for breaching sideline protocol.

There has been no mention regarding whether the text messages were of a tactical or personal nature.

It is understood that the Eagles filed an appeal over Big Dom’s massive fine.

They have argued that it should not stand because he only had one foot inside the bench area.

The NFL denied this appeal.

This comes after Saquon Barkley, 28, was fined $46,731 for roughness against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Barkley had charged at Chamarri Conner with his helmet down.

While no flag was thrown, the running back was handed a fine after the game.

Big Dom has become a cult icon for the Eagles over recent years.

He holds several roles within the Eagles set-up, primarily acting as the senior advisor to the general manager, Howie Roseman, 50.

Additionally, he is the director of gameday coaching operations and the franchises’ chief security officer.

Born in South Philadelphia, Big Dom joined his hometown team as the assistant to the chief security officer in 1999.

This is not the first time that the Eagles’ staffer has been in trouble with the league.

Big Dom gained widespread fame in December 2023 after an altercation with former San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.

He was handed a sideline ban for the remainder of the season.

His suspension was not lifted until the start of last season’s playoffs.

The Eagles’ cult icon has avoided a second ban as he is slapped with a significant fine.

This means that Big Dom will be able to stroll the sidelines as the Eagles face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday.
