Following the retirement of 15-year veteran Brandon Graham this offseason, Johnson’s 12 years of service becomes the most on the Eagles.
Johnson is under contract through 2027, meaning he will be a 16-year veteran by the time he is out of a deal.
He is already 34 years old, so time is running out on his career, and Johnson knows it.
If Johnson plays through the remainder of his contract, he will tie Graham as the longest tenured Eagle in history.
“Yeah, if there’s anybody to end a tie with, it would be BG,” Johnson told Good Morning Football.
“It’s crazy that we had a number of guys who all stayed together for all these years.
“Yeah, it doesn’t feel like [season] No. 13, but here it is.
“I still feel young in heart, but you can’t ignore Father Time. I’m still having fun and enjoying what I do.
“I love being around the guys, competing and it’s just something that I really love doing every minute of it.”
Johnson was drafted with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Since being drafted, he has started 158 games and won two Super Bowls as the Eagles’ left tackle.
Johnson is a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro.
In all likelihood he will become a Hall of Famer at the conclusion of his career.
Johnson is a beloved member of the Eagles, and fans agree he will be a Hall of Famer one day.
“First Ballot Hall of Famer,” one fan said.
