Phivolcs issues tsunami warning after megaquake off Russia

Coastal areas facing the Pacific Ocean “are expected to experience tsunami wave height of less than one meter” after a magnitude 8.7 earthquake struck off Russia’s far east coast on Wednesday, the Phivolcs said.
