The Phyathai–Paolo Hospital Group, under Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), continues to strengthen its network in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) with the official opening of Phyathai Bowin Hospital.
The new hospital is a major healthcare facility with 259 beds (59 already in operation under Phase 1) strategically positioned to serve the fast-growing industrial estates in Bowin and Chonburi, including WHA Chonburi, Amata City, Pinthong, Laem Chabang, Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard, and Yamato Industries. Beyond supporting industrial growth, the hospital is also designed as a strategic hub for community health services that care for families, workers, and local businesses.
The grand opening was presided over by Dr Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth, President and Group CEO of BDMS, and Att Thongtang, CEO of Phyathai–Paolo Hospital Group, marking another milestone in expanding BDMS’s healthcare footprint across Eastern Thailand.
A comprehensive healthcare centre for families and industries

Manoch Phantongwiriyakul, Director of Phyathai Bowin Hospital, highlighted the hospital’s mission.
“Phyathai Bowin has been designed to keep pace with urban growth and the expanding industrial sector of the EEC. We focus on providing complete healthcare for all, such as workers, families, and the wider community, through five key centres.
- Paediatrics Centre for children and adolescents
- Health Check-up & Occupational Medicine Centre tailored for the workforce and corporates
- Medicine & Chronic Disease Care
- 24-hour Trauma & Emergency Centre with seamless care pathways across the BDMS network
- Complex Case Management with referral links to Phyathai Sri Racha and other BDMS hospitals for advanced treatment such as Cath Lab procedures and cardiac surgery,
“Our strength lies in being Comprehensive – Close – Cutting-Edge: comprehensive medical services across all specialities, proximity and accessibility for the community, and advanced technology at international standards, including CT Scan and MRI. This enables accurate diagnosis and effective care, enhancing quality of life and peace of mind for the Bowin community and the EEC.”
Eastern network strength: Sri Racha as Asia’s medical hub

Dr Chanchai Leesomprasong, Executive Director of Phyathai Sri Racha and Phyathai Sri Racha 2 Hospitals, emphasised the regional vision.
“Sri Racha has already evolved into a true medical hub of Asia, serving both Thais and international patients. The launch of Phyathai Bowin strengthens our Eastern network, complementing Phyathai Sri Racha and Phyathai Sri Racha 2 as central hubs with internationally accredited Centres of Excellence, directly aligned with the growth of the EEC, one of Thailand’s key economic engines.
“Phyathai Bowin will play a vital role as a frontline hospital for the community—serving industrial workers, corporate employees, families, and nearby schools. We are committed to delivering quality care across all patient groups and health coverage schemes, including social security, civil servants, and private insurance. In the future, we aim to expand capacity to serve over 500,000 Social Security beneficiaries.”
Strengthening the Eastern healthcare ecosystem

With Phyathai Bowin’s opening, the Phyathai–Paolo network in Eastern Thailand is now stronger than ever. Residents of Chonburi and surrounding provinces gain greater access to high-quality healthcare without the need to travel to Bangkok. This expansion not only supports the rapid development of the EEC but also reinforces Thailand’s long-term vision of becoming a regional Medical Hub.
