He ended months of speculation about his future having been a free agent since his New York Jets release.
The quarterback was considering retirement after two decades in the league.
Rodgers eventually signed a one-year deal worth $13 million for the 2025 season.
And the 41-year-old clearly still has plenty left to give, judging by a camp report.
An ESPN article claims multiple coaches believe the Pittsburgh Steelers got a “steal.”
A veteran NFL offensive coach was quoted as saying, “He’s still throwing the s**t out of the ball, honestly.
“He’s the best quarterback they’ve had since Ben Roethlisberger.
“We will see how the body holds up, but I think he’s going to help them immensely.”
Another AFC executive was also quoted in the ESPN article.
And they said, “Look, the mobility is an issue, there’s no doubt.
“But where he helps them is with the plus arm strength and the field vision from the pocket.
“They haven’t had that.
“I’m not sure that will be enough, but the offense will be at least respectable.”
Rodgers was a four-time MVP during his time with the Green Bay Packers.
But his two seasons at the New York Jets went horribly wrong.
Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles four plays into the 2023 season and never played another snap that year.
The Jets finished 5-12 in 2024 when they held out playoff hopes.
Rodgers spoke about his decision to join head coach Mike Tomlin at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He said, “A lot of decisions that I’ve made over my career and life from strictly the ego, even if they turn out well, are always unfulfilling.
“But the decisions made from the soul are usually pretty fulfilling.
“This was a decision that was best for my soul.
“I felt like being here with coach Mike Tomlin and the guys that got here, and the opportunity here was the best for me and I’m excited to be here.
