The 33-year-old joined the Steelers on a one-year free agent contract during the off-season.
Woods barely got a look-in during pre-season though.
And it saw him get bumped to the Steelers’ practice squad on cut-down day.
However, Woods was not happy with the situation.
He wants to be a playing member of a 53-man roster.
And after speaking with Steelers chiefs, Woods has now been let go.
He will be hoping to quickly find a new side ahead of the new NFL season.
His resume is certainly strong, having been drafted in 2013 as a second-round pick by the Buffalo Bills.
Woods then moved to the Los Angeles Rams, who he helped win the Super Bowl in 2021.
He also spent time with the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans.
