BEN Roethlisberger has voiced his concerns about Aaron Rodgers after the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 1 performance.
The Steelers came out victorious in a 34-32 thriller on the opening weekend of the 2025 NFL season against the New York Jets.

Rodgers impressed on his debut, throwing for 244 yards and four touchdowns.
This included a game-winning drive on his return to MetLife Stadium.
However, despite the victory, one major issue concerned former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.
Speaking on his podcast Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger, he discussed the 41-year-old’s performance on the weekend.
He said, “The positive that I saw was Aaron Rodgers threw the ball.
“Listen, his arm works just fine.
“He can throw the ball all over the place, down the field, short passes, screens, spread the ball around.
“The only thing — there were four sacks. None of those that I saw were Aaron’s fault.
“There were times when he came up with play fake and there was a guy in his face, maybe some coverage stuff.
“But it wasn’t anything like he’s just back there holding the ball forever.
“So, I’m very encouraged by the way Aaron played.
“My concern is going to be, moving forward, can Aaron take a beating like that every week?
“Not at that age because some of those, even when he didn’t get sacked, he got hit so hard he came off the ground, and he’s forty-something, and that’s not good.”
Rodgers signed a one-year contract ahead of the 2025 season with the Steelers.
This came off the back of a challenging two years with the Jets, where he struggled with injury before being let go.

Roethlisberger was Pittsburgh’s QB for 18 seasons during this century.
He was drafted in the first round back in 2004 and played every year for the Steelers up to his retirement in 2021.
The 43-year-old is a two-time Super Bowl champion, winning in the 2005 and 2008 seasons.
He also won offensive rookie of the year in 2004.
The Steelers face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday for their Week 2 matchup.
