THE Pittsburgh Steelers have been predicted to make a stunning Daniel Jones signing once Aaron Rodgers retires.
Jones is among four quarterbacks whom a reporter believes could be a fit for the Steelers after the 2025 season.

On Tuesday, Rodgers announced on The Pat McAfee Show that he plans to retire after the upcoming campaign.
He had contemplated retirement before eventually signing a one-year contract with the Steelers earlier this month.
ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, who covers the Steelers, wrote an article about Rodgers’ retirement announcement and how it helps Mike Tomlin and company to evaluate the quarterback position in 2026.
Pryor put together a list of four quarterbacks from next year’s 2026 NFL Draft who could be a fit for Pittsburgh.
She mentioned Clemson’s Cade Klubnik, LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, Penn State’s Drew Allar and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers.
Pryor added that the Steelers can trade up to pick its next franchise quarterback thanks to numerous compensatory picks from free agent departures.
The NFL reporter didn’t stop there, as she tipped the possibility of Steel City signing the former first-round pick Daniel Jones in next year’s free agent period.
Jones signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts and looks to be the best free agent of the 2026 class.
He will be competing against Anthony Richardson for Indy’s starting job.
Pryor also wrote that the former first-round pick Richardson could also be available for the Steelers, either by release or trade.
Either way, the Steelers have time to plan for its next heir after Rodgers.
Currently, the quarterback room consists of Rodgers, veteran backups Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson and 2025 sixth-round pick Will Howard.
Rodgers will hope to bring the iconic Steelers franchise a Super Bowl for the first time since 2008.
“What better place to finish it than in one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL with Mike Tomlin and a great group of leadership and great guys,” he said on The Pat McAfee Show.
But first, the Steelers have to win a playoff game for the first time since 2017.

They were eliminated in the first round of the 2024-25 NFL playoffs.
Rodgers will face his former team in the New York Jets in Week 1.
And Justin Fields will take on his ex-team Steelers in the same game.
