Pleasant start to the week; Watching weekend rain chances

Good morning KELOLAND! It’s a calm and quiet start to the work week forecast in KELOLAND. Morning temperatures have been cool, with most areas in the 40s East River. In fact, we’ve also had reports of a few 30s just east of Mobridge!

Highs yesterday made it back into the upper 60s and lower 70s across much of the region.

Today looks about the same for Sioux Falls. You can see the daily planner on the graphic below.

Temperatures will be pleasant across our entire region today with highs mainly in the 70s. We expect a gradual warming trend through the middle of the week with highs back into the upper 70s and lower 80s. We are watching some clues about the chances of scattered showers by Wednesday or Wednesday night in southeastern KELOLAND. A better chance of rain will arrive in the Black Hills on Friday, with rain chances spreading eastward this weekend.

Areas of showers and thunderstorms will be possible into Saturday and Sunday as the next weather system moves into the plains. We still have many details to watch, but keep this in mind as you make your plans for the weekend.

Here are the details of the forecast.
