Pleasant weather today; Lots of 80s/90s in the forecast

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The weather this week is looking very quiet to start, but scattered rain chances will return. We will be tracking a cold front tonight that may trigger a few widely scattered showers and t-storms in the northeast. Speaking of rain, we did develop a few hits of rain in southwestern SD yesterday afternoon.

High temperatures stayed in the upper 70s to lower 80s across much of region. The drop in the humidity also feels more comfortable.

Today looks warm and dry in Sioux Falls with highs in the mid 80s.

Take a look at Futurecast on the map below. After a warm afternoon, scattered showers or thundershowers could affect northeastern KELOLAND late tonight as a cold front moves across the northern plains. Tomorrow will be a few degrees cooler, but that cooler weather won’t last long. Hotter weather will return on Wednesday and Thursday for central and western KELOLAND. Scattered t-storms could affect portions of northern and eastern KELOLAND, so we’ll keep an eye on those trends. The weather looks more humid as well in eastern KELOLAND at the end of the week.

Here are the details of the forecast.
