A POPULAR chicken chain is set to open 1,000 new locations – with seven sites to welcome customers in just days.
Raising Cane’s is continuing to boom in the US, and the company have revealed bold expansion plans.

Branches are set to open in New York City; Indianapolis; Spokane, Washington; Bel Air, Maryland; and Ann Arbor, Michigan[/caption]
Hungry diners will be thrilled to learn there a two new locations opening in San Diego and Santa Fe Springs, California in September.
There are also plans to unveil branches in New York City; Indianapolis; Spokane, Washington; Bel Air, Maryland; and Ann Arbor, Michigan, as reported by Fox.
Most of the new sites will be based close to “college communities”, in line with where the chicken chain originated.
Students enrolled at Columbia University, Barnard College and the Manhattan School of Music will soon be a short walk from the popular restaurants.
And, those attending the University of San Diego and Cerritos College are also set to welcome the brand new locations.
Meanwhile fans of Raising Cane’s at Gonzaga University will be less than two miles away from a site by next month.
In Ann Arbor, a chain will be opened just a short walk from the University of Michigan’s downtown campus.
The company is then launching locations close to Indiana University and Purdue University.
A rep for Raising Cane’s said: “In 2026, Raising Cane’s will continue its growth in both new and existing Communities with nearly 100 new Restaurants planned to open nationwide, including in Los Angeles near SoFi Stadium, in San Francisco at Fisherman’s Wharf and in Seattle near the University of Washington, among many others.
“At any given time, we have about 300 Restaurants at various stages in our development pipeline and are continually evaluating sites all over the world to achieve our goal of operating 1,600+ restaurants and becoming a Top 10 US Restaurant Brand.”
Raising Cane’s has been able to boast a few years of exemplary performance, calling 2024 a “record-breaking year of growth” after opening 118 new spots.
In 2024, Raising Cane’s also passed a huge milestone, achieving it’s first billion dollar quarter.
Currently, Raising Cane’s has more than 800 locations across the US, per its website.
New sites opened last month in Ontario, Ohio, Wichita, Kansas and Wethersfield, Connecticut.
Previously in June, new spots have been seen in Massachusetts, Illinois and Mississippi.
And the summer of growth continued with new restaurants welcoming customers in July.
In the first quarter of 2025, Raising Cane’s opened 20 new locations across the US, and plans a total of nearly 100 new ones by the end of the year.
Foodies have even gone to battle over where Raising Cane’s sits on the fast food ranking.
A fan wrote on his Facebook “Raising Canes chicken is MUCH better than Chick-fil-A! (Someone had to say it).”
