
A BELOVED grocery chain is continuing to expand this year as rivals struggle.
The retailer is opening at least 30 more stores nationwide and has plans to continue the trend into 2026.

Ronald Sargent, interim CEO of Kroger, confirmed the details during an earnings call on Friday.
“Today, we are on track to complete 30 major storing projects in 2025,” Sargent told investors.
He added that “looking forward, we expect to accelerate new store openings in 2026 and beyond in high growth geographies, growing our overall square footage and adding new jobs.”
