Tractor Supply Company is adding 90 new stores to its footprint by the end of 2025.
Currently, the retailer, known for its farm and pet products, operates 2,311 stores across 49 states in the US.
It is the biggest rural lifestyle retailer in the US and employs more than 50,000 people.
So far in 2025, Tractor Supply Company has opened 15 new stores already.
These can be found in locations like Big Bear Lake, California, Clare, Michigan and Amelia, Ohio.
A spokesperson told USA Today: “These locations offer the ideal footprint, feature favorable lease terms, are strategically positioned in existing and adjacent trade areas to serve the essential needs of farmers, livestock and pet owners, ranchers, part-time and hobby farmers, gardeners, homeowners, tradesmen, and others.”
On top of the 15 already open, Tractor Supply Company plans to open an additional 75 to hit its target of 90 for the year.
The retailer is also planning to open 10 new locations for its speciality pet store this year, Petsense by Tractor Supply.
Recently, a Petsense was opened in Orange, Texas, marking 206 stores across 23 US states.
There is not a timeline yet for when these new stores will be open, however.
Looking ahead to 2026, it plans to add 100 new Tractor Supply Company stores and 10 new Petsense stores.

The US Sun reported that Big Lots has now re-opened all of the 219 stores purchased by Variety Wholesalers.
The final wave brought back the remaining 78 stores on June 5.

The first wave kicked off back in April, and has been rolling ever since.

Variety Wholesalers CEO Lisa Seigies said back in April as the comeback kicked off: “We’re thrilled to bring the Big Lots! brand back to life by offering more deals than ever, lots of famous brands and a new apparel department for the entire family.
“We’re opening stores quickly so we can serve the community.
“We know the stores won’t be perfect to start, but each week we’ll add more new products as we build toward the grand opening celebration in the fall.”
Several companies bought up Big Lots leases along with the Tractor Supply Company.
Ollie’s is one of them, with the discount retailer having purchased a total of 63 properties from Big Lots.
The CEO of Ollie’s has praised Big Lots for the condition of the properties it has bought.
CFO Robert Helm said: “The Big Lots locations were generally well maintained, and have required limited build out expense to open thus far.”
