Trader Joe’s, known for its quirky culture and seasonal favorites, confirmed the rollout on its “opening soon” page.

The California-based chain has built a loyal following that regularly compares it to bigger names like Whole Foods.

One shopper even declared online: “Trader Joe’s is and has always been way better than Whole Foods.”

In total, the retailer plans to open 41 stores in 2025, with 21 of those already welcoming shoppers.

The rest are expected to follow later this year, although official dates have not been confirmed.

In 2024, Trader Joe’s also grew quickly, adding 34 stores across the United States.

The grocer’s stores stand out for being smaller than most supermarkets and for skipping self-checkouts.

Instead, the company emphasizes a more personal shopping trip, where staff handle every checkout.

That model helped push Trader Joe’s to the top spot in a recent ranking of America’s best grocery chains.

For 2025, the expansion stretches across 19 states and the District of Columbia.

New York will see multiple additions, with Miller Place, Glenmont, Staten Island, and Williamsville all added to the list.

Texas is another hotspot, with four stores coming to Kingwood, Bee Cave, McKinney, and San Antonio.

Florida shoppers will soon be able to visit new stores in Daytona Beach and Melbourne.

South Carolina also gets two new spots in Myrtle Beach and Columbia.
