Prince Harry is Meghan Markle’s spare in marriage – her passive aggressive post proves trouble’s brewing, claims expert

TROUBLE may be brewing in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito paradise, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex wished her husband a happy birthday by sharing an old picture of him on social media earlier this week – however, the post can tell fans of that their marriage could be headed for trouble.

However, according to experts, the ‘extremely bare’ Instagram upload shows ‘ there is trouble brewing under the surface’[/caption]

Meghan shared the picture of Prince Harry from 2015 during an RAF flypast to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain[/caption]

The Duke, now 41, returned to his home in California, US, in time to celebrate with his family following a four-day trip to the UK.

Meghan, 44, shared a picture of Harry – whose name patch says Harry Wales – from just after he had left the army, along with the caption: “Oh hi, Birthday Boy.”

The old snap of him appears to have been taken in September 2015 when he took part in an RAF flypast at Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex.

It came just weeks after he’d left the military earlier that summer – and was taken prior to meeting Meghan.

But while some may see it as a ‘throwback’, news commentator Samara Gill told The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson ”there’s a lot to pick up on there”.

”Even the caption itself was extremely bare. It was sort of, oh, hi, happy birthday,” the expert shared on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show.

”I mean, it’s so random for all that they’ve been through together and, you know, their struggle that they proclaim to have, to sort of put such a barefaced Instagram post.”

For Samara, the birthday post ”didn’t make any sense at all” – especially following Prince Harry’s interview with The Guardian where the 41-year-old ”barely” mentioned his partner.

”I do think that there is trouble brewing under the surface.”

Analysing the Instagram upload in this week’s show, the expert reckoned there is a hidden message behind it – and it could show the cracks in their marriage.

”She wouldn’t have posted that for no reason. And think, you know, he is very much her spare in that relationship.

”And I think she was getting very upset over there in Montecito, seeing him get all the coverage, be the glittering royal.

”She had to take focus away from him by posting that,” the royal expert shared her brutal verdict that things may not be so ”rosy” after all.

‘Calculated’ message

Esteemed royal biographer Ingrid Seward told The Sun earlier this week that this was an “odd” choice of photo – but must have been “calculated”.

“I think Meghan chose that photo because it was Harry, what she would say, at his hunkiest,” said the expert.

“He looked very, sort of, masculine and young and macho, and I think that’s probably how Meghan likes to see him.”

The royal expert suggested it could even be “one of her favourite pictures” of Harry because he doesn’t appear to be burdened with “too many cares”.

“I do think it’s a bit strange that she didn’t choose one more in line with the time when they met, or maybe even one of them together, but knowing Meghan everything she does is very carefully thought through,” added Ms Seward.

The biographer claimed it could be to do with Harry’s recent four-day UK trip, which saw him carry out more Invictus duties.

The Duke also visited Kyiv in Ukraine, and vowed he wanted to do “everything possible” to help rehabilitate veterans.

Why did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle step back as senior working royals?

PRINCE Harry has always wanted out of the Royal Family and the repercussions will be felt for years, an expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex has lived in California with his wife Meghan Markle since 2020 after they dramatically quit their jobs as working royals and moved across the pond.

Katie Nicholl, who is Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent, told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show that Megxit did not come as a surprise to her.

Speaking to The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson, the commentator explained: “Anyone who knows Harry is aware he’s always wanted a way out of the Royal Family.

“He’s said multiple times on the record that he wished he’d never been born a prince.

“I think he really is living the life he wants to now. It’s very, very sad that it’s played out the way it has.”

In a statement made on the Sussexes’ Instagram account as they stepped back in 2020, the pair wrote: “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.

“It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.

“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.”

The Guardian interview

Speaking to The Guardian, the Duke said: “I know that (speaking out) annoys some people and it goes against the narrative.

“It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.

“It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear. It is not about revenge, it is about accountability.”

After his four-day trip, a spokesperson for Harry told how he “loved catching up with old friends” and colleagues.

Harry also admitted he wants to spend more time in the country.

When asked if he would bring his children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, he responded: “This week has definitely brought that closer.”
