SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — The puppy inside the animal control vehicle that was involved in a rollover crash Monday night has no life-threatening injuries, Sioux Falls Police said at Tuesday’s briefing.
A driver traveling east on 57th Street ran a red light and was traveling upwards of 80 mph, SFPD spokesman Aaron Benson said. The driver swerved from the southbound turning lane into the Sioux Falls Animal Control vehicle traveling north at a green light, causing it to rollover.
The animal control officer and the puppy inside the vehicle were taken to respective hospitals to and released with non-life threatening injuries.
Nathalia Baron, 35, was arrested on multiple charges, including DWI, driving without insurance, and vehicular battery.
