RUSSELL Wilson has finally responded to the calls for him to be benched by the New York Giants.
Wilson had a shocking game against the Washington Commanders in the opening week of the 2025 NFL season.

However, head coach Brian Daboll has stated that they will stick with the 36-year-old for Week 2’s game against the Cowboys.
Following this, Wilson took to X to share his thoughts on the hate he had been receiving.
He simply wrote, “Mentally tough.”
The former Super Bowl winner had a challenging debut for the Giants on Sunday.
He completed only 17 out of 37 attempted passes, for 168 yards, as well as failing to register a touchdown.
After the game, Daboll didn’t commit to backing Wilson.
But he did emphasise that he had confidence in his starting QB.
The coach said, “We’re going to get home and look at our game.”
“This game isn’t on Russell Wilson. It’s not on Russell Wilson. Let me make that clear.
“I have confidence in Russ. We have to do a better job all the way around.”
If the Giants were to replace Wilson, Jaxson Dart is the easy replacement.
They selected him in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and he was named No. 2 QB ahead of the season.
When asked in a press conference, Wilson denied that he was feeling pressure from the rookie.
The QB stated, “No, I just focus on what we can control.
“I thought we competed our butts off [Sunday].
