THE magnificent Levi’s Stadium is getting a $ 200 million face lift ahead of hosting the Super Bowl.
The stadium is just 11 years old and one of the best in the NFL.

The home of the San Francisco 49ers is hosting the Concacaf Gold Cup this summer.
And fans visiting this week will see some of the upgrades already in place.
Mexico faces Honduras in the semifinal Wednesday night.
It will be the first major event to show off the upgrades.
Levi’s Stadium now boasts the largest outdoor 4K video boards in the NFL.
LED ribbon boards and upgraded lighting have also been installed.
Part of the $200 million budget also went under the stadium’s turf.
Crews installed a brand-new drainage and ventilation system to make the field FIFA-compliant.
Levi’s is one of 16 stadiums across the US, Mexico and Canada being used for the 2026 Fifa World Cup.
But the biggest event on the stadium’s horizon is Super Bowl LX in February.
It’ll be the second time the stadium the game after Super Bowl 50.
Levi’s Stadium only opened in 2014 at a cost of $1.3 billion.
The stadium in Santa Clara moved the 49ers from their previous home Candlestick Park.
Since Levi’s was built, more hi-tech stadiums have also popped up all over America.
And with a Super Bowl on the horizon, the stadium is being brought bang up to date.

The brand new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, have hosted Super Bowls in recent years.
SoFi Stadium came with an estimated price tag of $6 billion.
And Allegiant Stadium cost around $2 billion to build.
The 49ers’ first home game in the 2025 season will be against the Arizona Cardinals.
They are on the road in Weeks 1 and 2 before the game on September 21.
