However, he was forced out, and headed for the medical tent in the second quarter.
It was then promptly announced Kittle was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
And it has since been revealed he has suffered a hamstring injury.
It was a bitter blow for the 49ers following his early 24 yard TD.
Kittle is set to have further tests on the problem on Monday.
And head coach Kyle Shanahan had no further update on him immediately after the tie.
It is feared he could now miss a number of weeks of action.
“I mean, we’ve got to get the MRIs and everything tomorrow to find out,” said Shanahan.
The 49ers came out 17-13 winners against the Seahawks.
It was a solid start for them, especially in a NFC West rivalry game.
And it put the team in the early win column in NFL Week 1 away at Lumen Field.
The 49ers also suffered other injury issues in their offense.
Wide receiver Jauan Jennings left the game with a shoulder problem.
Left tackle Trent Williams also exited at one point.
