SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Good morning KELOLAND! It’s another cloudy and foggy start to the day across parts of KELOLAND. The heaviest fog has been around Aberdeen, but be watching for more fog areas East River this morning.

Pockets of rain continue to spin around this large area of low pressure. Sioux Falls has been missed by much of the rain, despite the fact it’s been raining in so many areas of the northern plains.
This map shows the 24 hour rainfall totals as of 7am.

But take a look at the past 7 days. Rain totals of 5-8″ are common northwest of Pierre. Amounts less than .25″ are also found closer to Sioux Falls.

The shower chances will continue today around Sioux Falls, but widespread rain is not in the forecast.

It’s easy to see that spinning low pressure on the video below. We can’t erase the rain chance entirely tonight and tomorrow east of James Valley.
Here are the details of the forecast.
