SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER has suffered a major blow ahead of the PGA Tour playoff event after his $43million season earnings were revealed.
Scheffler is looking to finish top of the pile when he takes part at this week’s BMW Championship.

The world No1 has made big strides in the FedEx Cup playoffs and will be paired with Rory McIlroy for the first round on Thursday.
However, Scheffler has suffered a huge hit ahead of the clash in Atlanta, Georgia.
That’s because he will be without his trusted caddie Ted Scott.
The pair have worked together for the past four years, with Scott always willing to lend some handy tips on the green.
But he will be absent this week after being forced to rush back home to Louisiana due to a family emergency.
However, Scheffler has already found a replacement in close pal Mike Cromie, who also moonlights as a chaplain.
He was most recently a caddie for Chris Kirk, a six-time PGA Tour winner.
But Cromie is set to be counting the money should Scheffler pick up more success.
The 29-year-old’s earnings for this year now stand at a tasty $43m.
After winning last weekend’s FedEx St Jude Championship, he picked up $5m alone.
And Scheffler’s earnings could be boosted by $3m with victory this week.
However, should he wipe the floor in the Tour Championship too, his total earnings will skyrocket to nearly $57m.
But it will still be some way short of last year’s numbers, with Scheffler pocketing over $62m.
