SEVERAL students have been injured after a school bus carrying a softball team crashed.
The bus rolled over several times following the accident, according to cops.
Around 13 people were on board the bus when it crashed just west of Minco, Oklahoma, on Monday night.
The accident unfolded when the softball team was on the way back from a game against the Anadarko Riverside school.
Six people were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition, according to state officials.
Some students were ejected from the vehicle when it crashed.
Several people were rushed to hospitals in the Oklahoma City area.
School will be closed on Tuesday, the Minco Public School District announced.
“Please keep these student-athletes, coaches, and their families in your prayers,” Kevin Sims, the school’s superintendent, said.
Senior state politicians have shared their horror on what unfolded.
“Cindy and I join all of Oklahoma in praying for our neighbors in Minco tonight,” James Lankford, the state’s senior senator, wrote on X following the crash.
“May God give healing and comfort to each of the players and passengers, their families, and the entire community.”
Cops have confirmed that no one was killed in the accident.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
