Shannon Sharpe slams ‘lazy’ Travis Kelce after his costly Eagles mistake and slams ‘nothing special’ Kansas City Chiefs

THE Travis Kelce pile-on continues as Shannon Sharpe, 57, takes aim at the tight end.

Kelce, 35, had a poor game as the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

He dropped a potential touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, 29, as the Chiefs suffered defeat.

Former Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens star Sharpe has become the latest to criticize Kelce.

Speaking on the Nightcap podcast, Sharpe argued that laziness has become an issue for the tight end.

“He’s getting lazy with his head and he’s getting lazy with his eyes,” Sharpe said. “He knows in that area of the field, he has to snap his head.”

“He knows, I don’t know why he is so lazy with his head. There is nobody inside, and [Reed] Blankenship has got you manned.”

The three-time Super Bowl winner has been poor so far this season as the Chiefs struggle to match their recent.

Quarterback Mahomes has taken ownership for the dropped pass, but Kelce has still received widespread blame.

Tight end Kelce was spotted slamming his helmet during the loss against the Eagles.

Despite reaching last season’s Super Bowl, the Chiefs have been underwhelming, with two defeats to open their campaign.

They suffered a 27-21 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, during the opening week.

This has been followed by their most-recent defeat against the Eagles.

With just three points in it during the fourth quarter, Kelce’s failed touchdown could have swung the game for the Chiefs.

Just minutes later, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, 27, ran in a 1-yard touchdown to hand his side victory.

“Why are you so lazy? Your head, you have got to snap it around, you know that,” Sharpe continued. “And you took points off the board. In other words, you don’t get points and they go down and they get points.”

Sharpe has suggested that their issue runs deeper than just Kelce.

“They have got guys. There is nothing special about anybody on that team right now offensively other than Mahomes.”

The Chiefs will face the New York Giants on Sunday as they look to kickstart their season.

Both sides are winless after two weeks of action and sit bottom in their divisions.

This has led ESPN New York’s Don La Greca, 57, to suggest a wild conspiracy theory that the NFL may rig the result in the Chiefs’ favor.

Pressure is growing on Kelce to return to form as the Chiefs hope to avoid embarrassment.
