Actor Puneett Chouksey shoulders the responsibility of being the male lead of Star Plus‘ show Aarti Anjali Awasthi, after the generation leap. The show Advocate Anjali Awasthi, christened with the new name in the post-leap phase has Shritama Mitra playing the dual role of Anjali as well as Aarti, the new lead.
Advocate Anjali Awasthi has been well-accepted by the audience, with the unique storyline gaining all the appreciation. Puneett will soon be introduced in the main role of Ved Rajvanshi, in Aarti Anjali Awasthi, produced by Blues Production.
We at IWMBuzz.com had earlier given our readers the exclusive news of Puneett Chouksey taking over from Ankit Raizada as the new generation lead in the show.
IWMBuzz.com gets into an exclusive conversation with Puneett as he is all set for his entry into the show.
Says Puneett, “This character is unlike my earlier complex character for Baazi Ishq Ki. I love it when the character is all the more complex. Ved Rajvanshi is complex but in different ways. He has had a traumatized past and lives under the trauma even now. He misses his mother who left him when he was a child. Though he is told of her being characterless, he reacts emotionally when it comes to safeguarding his mother’s honour.”
I am happy that I have chosen a role that is not everybody’s game.
Puneett who has played lead roles as well as negative roles earlier, looks forward to every challenge and sees to it that he picks up unique roles that are away from the normal grind. “I was getting roles that fell into the ‘familiar’ category. Hence I preferred to wait the time. I can now confidently say that the wait has been worth it, as I get to know more about my character in Aarti Anjali Awasthi. I am happy that I have chosen a role that is not everybody’s game.”
Ask him if he has followed Advocate Anjali Awasthi and he says, “No, but I have managed to watch a few episodes after getting this offer. I have got a good idea of the characters which have been involved in the show. The show has done well, and I am confident of the story ahead.”
Talking about staying put in Kolkata for the show, Puneett calls it a big decision of his life. “I have never worked out of Mumbai, as a long-term commitment. So this has been a tough decision to make, to stay away from my family. My family has been a strong pillar of support in my career. I could not have taken this decision without their support and comfort.”
Talking about the big phase ahead of him now, Puneett shares, “Yes, it is a big responsibility ahead of me. I know that I will give my cent per cent. Things should work well. I do not, however, think about the outcome. I am here to work and will focus on that.”
Best of luck!!
