BUDGET-conscious shoppers keen to make savings can currently snap up an annual membership to BJ’s Wholesale Club for just $15.
Similar to Costco and Sam’s Club, the BJ’s chain offers savings on bulk items, from groceries and electronics to clothes and gas.

There are over 250 stores in 20 states, and currently their annual membership is heavily discounted.
New members can sign up to a BJ’s Club Card membership for just $15 or the BJ’s Club+ Card for only $40.
Originally the Club Card membership cost $60, and lets shoppers take advantage of BJ’s deal and their household card for no additional cost.
Meanwhile, the BJ’s Club+ Card was priced at $120, and includes all the benefits of the standard membership, plus two per cent back in rewards on most purchases in store and online.
It also includes discounted gas and up to three times back in rewards during special promotions.
The limited-time offer undercuts rival Sam’s Club, whose annual membership is $50 or $110 for their Plus version.
The Plus membership, like BJ’s, offers extra benefits.
These include two per cent cash rewards on qualifying purchases, earlier shopping hours, and free shipping on most items.
Typically, you can’t access Sam’s Club without a membership, but you can get a one-day guest pass, although you’ll pay a 10 per cent service fee on your items.
BJ’S GROWTH
BJ’s Wholesale Club has confirmed growth plans, providing members with more opportunities to take advantage of low grocery prices.
The warehouse retailer will open several new locations in the coming years as it expands its nationwide footprint.
CEO Robert Eddy emphasized the move while speaking with investors in May.

Eddy noted that at least 25 to 30 new BJ’s warehouses are to arrive over the next two years.
This comes after at least five new stores opened since January.
BJ’s current store count is just over 250.
The expansion would have it nearing 300 stores by the end of 2026.
Eddy said that “success has been built in the last couple of years,” and the “discount retail and club sector” BJ’s and competitors like Sam’s Club and Costco operate in “is winning.”
“We’re trying to go as fast as we can,” the CEO said of expansion plans.
“We’re really excited about what we’ve seen so far in our real estate portfolio, and the pipeline is as big as it’s ever been.”
