They uploaded a photo of the milk chocolate-covered treat being sold in 227g bags.

And it seems the return of the snack has been long-awaited.

The excited foodie wrote online: “Milk Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears Candy are finally back!!”

The news came as a delight to many fellow shoppers, with one saying: “HELL YA.”

Another added: “YAY–I hid two bags in the fridge when they first came out. They are delicious and one of my favorite TJs candies. Hope they stay around this time.”

And a third commented: “Oh thank goodness.”

The bags cost $3.99, and they include an assortment of gummy bear flavors.

The chain claims: “Each handful is like a box of fruity chocolates—you never know what you’re gonna get.”

It turns out there is a history behind the bags too.

According to the Trader Joe website, the Gummy Bears are inspired by dancing bears at German festivals.

It states: “Once upon a time in 1920s Germany, a confectioner by the name of Hans Riegel tinkered with gelatin and fruit flavors to create a soft gummy candy unlike anything seen before.

“He molded his invention into a bear shape that gained worldwide popularity over the decades that followed.

“Fast forward to today, and Trader Joe’s Milk Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears evoke charming, chocolatey nostalgia in every bite!

“Gummy Bears may be German, but Milk Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears are a purportedly Swedish creation that’s difficult to find outside of specialty shops.”

Trader Joe’s says it partnered with a Swedish confectioner to bring the sweets to customers at a “beary great value.”

The chain suggests they be used as part of Brookies, mini cheesecakes and on top of cupcakes.
